Nolan Teachers of the Year

Congratulations to Jessica Matukawicz, 3^rd grade teacher, and Katie Wood, 5^th grade teacher, who are Nolan’s Teachers of the Year! They were presented with flowers and congratulated by their peers on January 3^rd.  

CDSS Outstanding Teacher Award

Mrs. Emily Adams was honored by the Chattanooga Down Syndrome Society with the Outstanding Teacher Award and presented a check for $321 to use in her classroom.

December Retirement

After many years of tremendous service to the Nolan Community, Sheila Killingsworth (reading interventionist and Friday computer teacher) decided to retire at the end of December. If you would like to send a special note congratulating Mrs Killingsworth on her retirement, we are collecting those in the office. 

Welcoming New Staff

Please join me in welcoming two new staff members to Nolan: Katie Gibbs will serve as a reading interventionist and Deb Conlon will serve as our Friday Computer Teacher. Mrs Gibbs is a former Nolan teacher, who is the proud Nolan mom of Emeline (5^th) and Tucker (2^nd). Mrs Conlon has her degree in computer programming and is the proud mom of Nolan twins, Alexis (1^st) and Caleb (1^st). Both of these ladies have been active substitutes, and we are thrilled to have them on staff full-time.
