Bio

Mrs. Sharp is a native of Signal Mountain, educated at Signal Mountain Elementary and Thrasher Elementary.  Her first teaching job was as a preschool assistant teacher, while studying theatre at UTK.  After receiving her B.A. in theatre and speech from UTC, she taught music and theatre in the after-care programs at Lookout Mountain, Soddy, North Hamilton County, Allen and the summer programs at Red Bank and McBrian Elementarys.

Following those experiences, Mrs. Sharp knew she wanted to be a teacher-but in the regular classroom.  She returned to UTC to enroll in the Masters of Education program in elementary education.  Two months after graduation, while in an interim music position at Barger Academy, Mrs. Sharp became pregnant with twins. After staying home for two years, she returned to teaching, fortunate enough to work at her dream school, Nolan Elementary.

Mrs. Sharp, her husband Scott, and their twins Luke and Georgia (now third graders at Nolan!!) live in Boston Branch with their three dogs, two goldfish, and one dwarf frog.  One of her proudest accomplishments was founding the Nolan Drama Club, at the behest of former principal, Ken Barker and the PTA.

In her spare(?) time, Mrs. Sharp enjoys spending time with her family, reading, singing, acting, dancing, gardening, needle crafting and Pinterest!!!
