New Student Registration

Important Registration Information: 

Parents are required to complete Steps 1 and 2 for their child to be placed on a class roster for 2023-2024 school year.  

 Step 1: To Register: Students Brand New to HCS - Grades K-12 - Hamilton County Schools (hcde.org)

 Step 2: Required Proofs of Residency: As part of the registration process, parents are required to submit two proofs of in-Nolan-zone residency to [email protected]please include your child’s name in the subject lineStudents will be placed on a class list for next year once proofs of residency are provided and verified. Your proofs of residency may include current lease or purchase agreements, utility bills (May, June, or July 2023), or other district-approved documentation reflecting the custodial parent’s name and the address within the Nolan zone.  All residency documentation and registration information will be reviewed. If everything is in order, you will not be contacted after you submit your proofs. Parents will be notified via email or phone if any additional information is needed. If there are residency questions, the school social worker may conduct home visits as needed to verify residency. If you no longer reside within Nolan’s school zone, you will need to register at your new home-zoned school or apply for a hardship waiver at the Equity Office at central office www.hcde.org

Nolan Campus Volunteer Work Day

Hours 8:30-10 am

Great fellowship opportunity! Bring family & friends. Meet at Nolan’s front doors @8:30am to spruce up the campus.  We will be picking up sticks, spreading mulch, trimming bushes, planting flowers, & weeding. Bring: extended family, weed eaters, gloves, blowers, rakes, wheelbarrows, clippers and a water bottle.

Registration Fair & Meet Your Teacher Day

Hours: 8:30-10 am

1st -5th teacher reveal for preregistered students, bring your children and self-tour Nolan, visit with teachers and see classrooms, visit related arts teachers, confirm phase-in days for kindergarten, join PTA, shop Nolan sportswear for monthly spirit days, purchase a student/parent directory, receive pre-ordered school supplies, partner with MEF, order a yearbook, sign up for before and after care (SACC), receive updated bus routes, pay $25 school fees, purchase a birthday book for Nolan’s library in honor of your child, days, kindergarteners confirm phase-in learn about numerous volunteer opportunities.

Hours: 8:40 am – 3:40 pm

Doors Open: 8:15 am

Students who arrive before 8:15 must be enrolled in School Age Child Care (SACC), and signed in at the back gym.

Phase-in Only -Arrival 9am and Phase-In dismissal 3pm

Times are adjusted to make the arrival and dismissal experience smooth and more personalized during phase-in as new families learn the routine. Lowering the teacher-to-pupil ratio will ensure that your child has a smooth transition into Kindergarten.
