It’s the most wonderful time of the year to celebrate and honor the many different traditions that Nolan families uphold. In the words of the late President George H. W. Bush, “We are a nation of communities… a brilliant diversity spread like stars, like a thousand points of light in the broad and peaceful sky.”  The faculty and staff of Nolan want to wish you a beautiful holiday season with your family.

Join Us Tonight for the PTA Meeting – Tuesday, Dec 4th at 7pm with K & 5th Grade Performing: “Little Souls Are Gonna Shine”

Exciting News: We had two finalists from Nolan in the Times Free Press wrapping paper contest- Adam Aboulfaida, and Lydia Gill! They will be featured in this Sunday’s newspaper and their artwork will also be on display at the Creative Discovery Museum. There is a people’s choice contest that will end this evening for the public to vote for their favorite entry. Lydia is #2, and Adam is #13 at

Nolan Canned Food Drive This Week: Please help Nolan support Signal Mountain Social Services by providing items for Christmas baskets to help feed families on the mountain. This project helps up to 60 families in our community have a happier holiday! PTA has assigned each grade level a different item, but feel free to donate any item from the list that works best for you. Please no glass or expired food.

·         Kindergarten –canned vegetables, canned fruit

·         First – Spaghetti sauce, canned pasta, ravioli, etc.

·         Second- baked beans and chili

·         Third – Spaghetti noodles, hamburger or tuna helper

·         Fourth – canned fruits, boxed hot chocolate, pancake mix

·         Fifth – Hearty soup (not broth or condensed)

Please join us on Saturday, December 8th at 9:00 a.m. in the Nolan cafeteria to pack and deliver boxes to a family. The line will form at 8:30 a.m. in the Nolan lobby. This is a great service activity for your entire family! The PTA would like to thank you for giving to those in need on Signal Mountain!

Dec 10- Nolan PTA Hosts Staff Appreciation Breakfast

Dec 11- Kindergarten goes to Chattanooga Theater Center

Dec 11- Nolan Spelling Bee

Dec 18- 4th Grade Hosts Weather Program

Dec 19- Character Assembly/Sing-A-Long and Winter Parties

Dec 19- ½ day for students

January 7- Students Return
