HCDE Event

HCDE Event on August 4th
Posted on 08/03/2018

Join Hamilton County Schools as we kick-off the new school year with a big celebration downtown this Saturday from 10 to 2 at the First Tennessee Pavilion. There will be free food, free parking, free school supplies, information to get you off to a great start, and just a lot of fun for the whole family. We hope to see you there.

Here is some additional information about the start of school: If you need to request a new bus stop, or stop information, you can go to our website at hcde.org, click on the tab “Parents” and select Bus Transportation. You will find everything you need to catch the bus on the first day of school. The first few days are adjustments for new riders and sometimes routes may be delayed. We ask that you please be patient as we get everyone accustomed to bus stops and procedures. Pick-up and drop-off times will quickly stabilize. Remember for our kindergarten or younger children, someone must be at the stop to meet them for our drivers to allow the children to exit the bus. This is for your child’s safety. If you need additional transportation information, the Transportation Hotline will be available beginning August 3.  Call (423) 498-7373.

New student ID numbers for meals will be issued this year in the cafeteria. The lines may be slow initially as everyone learns their new number but everyone will have time to eat and this process will also get smoother very quickly.

We look forward to welcoming your child on Wednesday as we begin the new school year.
