Good Evening Nolan Families - We would like to share some information related to upcoming April events and hope this message finds you and your family well rested from the break and ready to return to school tomorrow on Monday, April 9.  We will have our April Character Assembly on Tuesday, April 10 beginning at 9:15 and we will have our April PTA Meeting that same evening beginning at 7:00with our 4th grade students and our Chorus and Hand Bells groups performing.  Our Kindergarten pre-registration day will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 11 in the gym from 1:00 until 3:00 and all families registering new Kindergarten students should plan to attend and bring your 2 proofs of residency, copies of the birth certificate and social security card, and proof of immunization and physical on the Tennessee form.  Our 4th grade students will take a field trip to the Booth Museum on Thursday, April 12 and our 1st grade students will take a field trip to Crabtree Farms on Friday, April 13.  The last day to register for summer SACC childcare will be on Friday, March 13 as well so please be sure see Mrs. Wofford if you have any questions.  Our Nolan Cross Country Team will compete in the Hamilton County Cross Country Meet at the Chickamauga Dam on Saturday, April 14 and TCAP TN Ready testing for students in grades 3-5 will begin on Monday, April 16and continue through Friday, April 27.  A letter reminding everyone of the testing schedule and other testing specifics will go home with students this week, so please be sure to plan any appointments around these testing dates.  The MEF Dash and Bash will take place on Friday, April 20 at SMMHS so please check out meftoday.org for more information and plan to attend with your children for an evening filled with fun in support of MEF and our Signal Mountain schools.  This year's Special Olympics will take place on Saturday, April 21 beginning at 10:00 at Red Bank High School and the next Box Tops Submission Week will take place from Monday, April 23 through Friday, April 27.  In closing, we want to remind everyone of the letter that went home just before Spring Break from MEF Board President Sarah Bernard.  As part of continued messaging regarding the importance of MEF and what it means to our Signal Mountain schools, I want to again invite you to become a monthly donor if you have not done so already.  As I've shared before, I think sometimes we take for granted the amazing things MEF funding does for our students and our schools and we are now at a moment where these opportunities will only be available at the levels we support MEF and our schools.  As always, thank you for partnering with us to provide the very best for our children.
