Good Evening Nolan Families - We hope this message finds everyone continuing to enjoy the holidays with your families and friends.

A reminder that students will return to school on Monday, January 8 for a full day of school. The first bell releasing students to their classrooms sounds at 8:40 and students are considered tardy if they arrive after the second 8:45 bell.

Our Kindergarten students will have an on-site Nature Center enrichment activity on Wednesday, January 10, and report cards will go home with students on Friday, January 12.

Our Nolan Robotics Team will compete in the Super Regional Tournament at Chattanooga State on Saturday, January 13, and there will be no school on Monday, January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The final window for yearbook orders will begin on Tuesday, January 16, and our 1st grade students will have an on-site Creative Discovery Museum enrichment activity on Thursday, January 18.

We will have our January character assembly on Tuesday, January 23 beginning at 9:15, and the final day to order this year's yearbook will be Tuesday, January 30.

In closing, please be on the lookout for a letter coming home next week regarding procedures that will be in place should the district call for an unexpected early dismissal day due to quickly approaching inclement weather. Please note that we need all parents to complete the bottom portion of this letter and return it to your child's teacher noting any additional caregivers who you would like to grant permission for dismissing your children on these unexpected early dismissal days.

As always, thank you for all you do in supporting your students, our teachers, and our school as we look forward to a great second semester of learning here at Nolan.

Shane D. Harwood, Ed.D.
