Good Evening Nolan Families - We wanted to share some information related to upcoming November events.  

Fall picture re-takes will take place tomorrow morning on Thursday, November 2, and parent teacher conferences will take place throughout the week of Monday, November 6 through Friday, November 10 with our longer conference night taking place on Thursday, November 9.  

We will have our November character assembly on Tuesday, November 7 beginning at 9:15 and all PTA Reflections Art Contest submissions are due by Wednesday, November 8.  

Progress reports will go home with students on Friday, November 10, and several Nolan students will be participating in the Perennial Math Competition at UTC on Saturday, November 11.  

The PTA Book Fair will take place during the week of Monday, November 13 through Friday, November 17 with students having opportunities to shop the book fair each day.  The PTA Family Book Fair Night will take place on the evening of Tuesday, November 14 with additional information coming home about the night's activities which will include food, games, and opportunities for parents and grandparents to shop the book fair.  As part of the Book Fair Family Night, the PTA is also sponsoring our annual blood drive with this year's drive honoring Dan Summerlin as his wife Scottie helped start the blood drive as a former PTA President.  If you would like to donate in memory of Dan or another loved one, please visit www.bloodassurance.org/nolan to sign up for a time to donate between 1:00 and 7:00 on that day.

Our 4th grade students will be going on a field trip to the Chattanooga Nature Center on Tuesday, November 14, and our 1st grade students will have Cherokee enrichment activities taking place on Thursday, November 16 and Friday, November 17.  

Our Kindergarten students will be going on a field trip to Audubon Acres on Friday, November 17, and our 5th grade students will be visiting SMMHS on this day as well to learn more about 6th grade and the middle-high school.  

There will be no school for students from Wednesday, November 22 through Friday, November 24 for the Thanksgiving holiday, and the CCA Project Motion group will be visiting our 5th grade students on Monday, November 27.  

Finally, the Junior Garden Club will be visiting our 2nd grade students on Tuesday, November 28.  As always, we greatly appreciate all that you do in support of your students, their teachers, and our school!
